Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths

All students in Prep to year Six are involved in an engaging and intellectually challenging Science and Technology program. The school is fortunate in having a designated Science and Technology Centre in which the children have access to quality science resources and technology. Having received a Department of Education Science specialist grant the school has specialist Science teachers who provide intellectually challenging and engaging learning experiences for the children.

The students love the opportunity to learn more about the world in which they live and what makes it 'work'
A strong component of this program is developing the children's knowledge of the 'literacy of science' and expanding their literacy and technology understanding.

The Science Program links closely with the schools involvement as a Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden school and enables the students to also connect to outdoor learning spaces and the student environmental garden.

The school continues to develop a strong focus on Environmental sustainability.
