Languages - Auslan

Our school hosts the Geelong Deaf Education Centre for Deaf students in Prep to Year 6.

Our Prep students begin their Languages program with Auslan signing and fingerspelling and continue learning Auslan through their years at Primary school.

The school has an experienced educational team in Deaf Education with several Teachers of the Deaf and Auslan teachers and Auslan Communication Assistants.

All students P-6 have the opportunity to develop their Auslan signing and utilise their skills in a range of activities including signing performances. They are learning to develop a language skill that provides valued support and communication in the broader community.
