The Victorian Government has announced new Child Safe Standards to further strengthen child safety across organisations, including schools. The new standards recognise the critical importance of families and the broader school community in maintaining and promoting child safety and wellbeing.

Communication with parents
- Transition meetings on entry to school to enable the parent to share their knowledge of their child and any current supports.
- Regular Student Support Group meeting for students who have individual learning plans, setting goals with the support of the parent.

- Use of SeeSaw to celebrate the students learning
- Care team meeting with external providers if required
